The LS model is the entry-level TrailBlazer and it comes with standard features that include power windows and locks, CD player, reclining bucket seats, a rear window wiper, rear climate controls, and four-wheel disc brakes. A 4.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine, standard on LS models, produces up to 275 horsepower. This six-cylinder is also inherently more balanced than a V6. It reaches its maximum torque more quickly, and it’s also more quiet when idling. The TrailBlazer’s chassis and suspension are built to withstand harsh conditions and rough terrain, with a five-link front suspension and Bilstein gas-charged shock absorbers for the rear. Hydraulic-formed chassis rails and 12 tuned body mounts help dampen vibrations to reduce noise. The TrailBlazer also has a low engine position that drops the center of gravity and reduces the risk of rollovers.
