With the Tundra, Toyota has finally unleashed a full-size pickup that's no longer content to play second fiddle to the big boys from Chevy, Dodge and Ford. This year's Tundra builds upon its strong foundation with new exterior styling, a reworked interior and the addition of the Toyota Racing Development (TRD) off-road package. The TRD Off-Road package includes beefy front shock absorbers, a special transfer case with low-range gearing, an upgraded exhaust system and a new tune. The Tundra is available with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Its 5.7 L V8 engine produces 381 horsepower and 401 lb.-ft. of torque, and it's capable of pulling 10,800 pounds. Overall, the Tundra is a very solid and comfortable workhorse that offers a lot of options and a roomy, comfortable cabin.
