Description
The Flex's exterior styling is reminiscent of older station wagons. Its ribbed sides, boxy front end and contrasting roof paint add an appealing edginess to the car's personality. A 3.5-liter V6 with variable valve timing puts its 262 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels, which is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration feels brisk, and the ride is supple but not jittery. Inside, the Flex's interior materials are high quality and its fit and finish is fine. Seating is surprisingly comfortable for full-size adults, with generous leg and headroom. The second row seats fold up and out of the way, and even the third row can be accessed without having to climb out.
