Description
The Acura MDX is an elegant three-row luxury SUV that's fun to drive. This is largely due to the super-handling all-wheel-drive system that automatically proportions power to the outside wheels during corners. The MDX offers an abundance of safety features courtesy of its AcuraWatch suite. These include forward-collision warning, collision mitigation braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control. For handling, Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive utilizes a direct electromagnetic clutch system mounted on either side of the rear differential to control power delivery to the front and rear axles. This allows a variable amount of torque to be sent to the rear wheels depending on acceleration conditions, wheel spin and lateral G-forces. The MDX's interior offers a dynamic blend of design and luxury. Sculptural and warm wood-patterned trim creates a zone of premium comfort for the front passenger, while the center console provides a convenient place to store your gear.
