The 2013 Ford F-450 Super Duty is the most powerful truck on the market and a definite must-have for serious work. Its body is sturdy and well-built, and its engine delivers prodigious amounts of horsepower and torque. It is also a very capable tow vehicle and has an extensive list of standard equipment. Despite its immense size, the Ford F-450 is easy to drive, thanks to a stiff chassis. Its front frame rails and C-channel crossmembers prevent flexing and twisting. The body is also very strong, and the rear axle is designed to help absorb shocks and vibration. The 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel available in the F-450 makes 400 horsepower and 800 pound-feet of torque. This is a lot of horsepower for the 8,200-pound pickup, and the six-speed SelectShift transmission does a good job with it. Its lower gearing helps minimize turbo lag and maximize fuel economy.
