Description
The XT5 replaced the SRX in Cadillac’s lineup and led a reinvigoration of its SUV line. It has many of the same features as its predecessor but also some significant changes, including lighter construction, more interior space and an improved driving experience. Its exterior looks a lot like the SRX, but the cabin is significantly more spacious and features much of Cadillac’s high-tech equipment. In adaptive cruise control mode, the XT5 slows down when it senses a vehicle in front of it is about to brake. It even alerts the driver if it thinks it is about to hit the back of the vehicle. With the XT5’s CUE infotainment system, most of the controls you need to adjust while driving can be accessed from a panel under the touch-screen. There are buttons on the steering wheel as well to switch between different features such as the sound system, hands-free phone and navigation systems.
