The WRX STI feels like a dream car to drive. STI engineers have made the chassis 140% stiffer than its predecessor. This helps it cling to the road and resist body roll. Drop in fourth gear and mash the pedal, and it’ll hug the corners and egg you on. Subaru's 305-horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers a huge surge of right-foot-down power. It's best paired to the standard and included six-speed manual transmission for maximum fun. The WRX offers a wide range of features, including front and rear under-spoilers, a rear spoiler, sport front seats, a 6.2-inch information display, and Subaru's Starlink six-speaker infotainment system. This system offers smartphone integration and satellite and HD radio. The STI also uses a different throttle mapping than the regular WRX, and you can choose between Intelligent, Sport or Sport Sharp (not to be confused with the more aggressive Sport-hashtag S#) driving modes using a rotary dial on the console. The latter gives the STI more immediate, aggressive throttle tip-in. It's hard to go back after trying it. The STI is also equipped with all-wheel drive and Cobb stage 1+ calibrations.
